Lets face it - the Conservatives at Westminster have lost touch with the difficulties we all face. The cost of living emergency is devastating. Violent crime is on the rise. NHS waiting times are far too long. Communities like ours are ignored, left behind, and suffering in silence.
Both Labour and the Conservatives at Westminster spend more time picking fights with each other than tackling our rising food and housing costs. It's just a game to them. We deserve much better than this. It’s time for real change and a new direction.
The Liberal Democrats are fighting on the issues that really matter to local residents - cutting crime, cutting the cost of living, cutting NHS waiting times, and making sure our rivers and seas are safe and clean. As the MP for Tiverton & Honiton, I work every day with people just like you in our communities, tackling their issues and getting things done.
More and more people here are lending their support to the Liberal Democrats next time - it is the only way to make sure the Conservatives are beaten here.
At the next election, this community will become part of a new constituency joining Tiverton and Minehead. Our local Liberal Democrat teams have made sweeping gains across local councils, and just weeks ago I was joined by a new Parliamentary colleague for Somerton & Frome, Sarah Dyke MP. Whatever happens nationally, the Liberal Democrats are the main challengers here.
Last year I led the Liberal Democrats to victory in Tiverton & Honiton with 53% of voters backing me, ending decades of them being taken for granted.
